Hebei Iron and Steel Group purchased 16.9933 million tonnes of coal in the first ten months of this year through its purchasing company. Of the total purchasing volume, supplies from state-owned mines accounted for 74.55%, up 3.5 percentage points from the same period last year and up 14 percentage points from before its integration; over 90% of coal purchased was directly secured from suppliers, up 15 percentage points from before integration.
Given the prolonged tight coal supply in Shanxi, the company has strived to optimize its purchasing source by strengthening purchasing in Henan, Inner Mongolia, Ningxia and Shandong.
